3x3 Illustration Annual No. 6

My Art Lovers illustration has been accepted into the sixth annual 3x3 ProShow due out in the Fall. It has also been selected in Society of Illustrators Annual and in American Illustration 28.

Mon illustration Art Lovers a été choisie pour la sixième édition du 3x3 ProShow qui paraîtra cet automne. Cette image a aussi été sélectionnée pour l'exposition annuelle de la Society of Illustrators et dans American Illustration 28.

I came across this funny clip featuring Chuck Berry and Keith Richards. It's from the documentary film Hail! Hail! Rock'n Roll directed by Taylor Hackford in 1987.

2009 Society of Illustrators Annual

I'm very happy to announce that I have 4 pieces accepted into 2009 New York Society of Illustrators Annual. It's a personal record. The two first ones will be part of the 51st Annual Exhibition Advertising, Institutional, and Uncommissioned show at the New York gallery from March 3rd to March 28th. The last two will be part of the Book and Editorial show from January 28th to February 28th. And of course, all of them will be part of their prestigious catalog: Illustrators 51.

Je suis très heureux d'annoncer que 4 de mes illustrations ont été acceptées dans la sélection annuelle de la Society of Illustrators de New York. C'est un record personnel. Elles seront exposées à la galerie New Yorkaise de la SOI. Les deux premières feront partie du Advertising, Institutional, and Uncommissioned show, du 3 au 28 mars, alors que les deux autres feront partie du Book and Editorial show du 28 janvier au 28 février. Elles seront évidemment toutes publiées dans leur prestigieux catalogue: Illustrators 51.

You'll recognize of course the Gainsbourg from the 1960s, not the Gainsbarre from the 1980s.

J'ai trouvé un petit clip où on le voit jouer "All the things you are" en 1964. Il est pas mal comme pianiste...

I found a clip of him playing "All the things you are" in 1964. He's not a bad pianist...

A.I.I.Q. 25th anniversary / 25ième anniversaire

I'll be showing my portfolio at the A.I.I.Q. 25th anniversary event this Wednesday. I will also be playing drums with the all illustrators band later in the evening. 

Je présenterai mon portfolio à la soirée du 25ième anniversaire de l'A.I.I.Q. ce mercredi. Je jouerai aussi de la batterie avec le groupe de musiciens-illustrateurs plus tard dans la soirée.
